Cowdude's Reviews

Chocolate by The 1975

Here we have the Cure meets the Script, in the film noir video reminiscent of the 80's movie Suburbia. Just now being picked up by Sirius Hits 1, this song has promise to catch on nationally. It's catchy vocal riffs are earworms, even if you can't understand what they are saying.

Pompeii by Bastille

This song has a haunting chorus track that reinforces the dark supernatural theme of the video. Style-wise, it's like a combination of Paul Young and U2, but all wrapped up in a modern production. The Palm Spring location filming is wonderful.

Augenbling by Seeed

East meets west in this offering by Seeed. Part mid-eastern, part-German dance, this song is sure to keep you on your feet at the dance club. Visually stunning cinematography round out this video to be a must see.

I See a Different You by Koop

This bossa nova inspired dance tune has all the retro feel of The Girl from Ipanema. Expect this to be a hit at the dance clubs, especially if the deejay is into more than just what is showing on the charts. This video, with its surprise ending, will pay off in the long run. Sure to be a classic.

Get Up (Rattle) by Bingo Players featuring Far East Movement

Here we have a great dance tune with a video that is sure to amuse. Animal videos can either be cheesy or knock it out of the park. Here we have the latter. Just enough humor to be entertaining, yet with a message to go with it: Karma's a bitch. Semi-graphic ending should be viewed with caution by those who are sensitive.

High Hopes by Kodaline

A decent sentimental song with an outstanding video. This song tells a tale of giving up on life then at the last minute finding something to live for. Keep watching until the end to get the full impact of this video.
